Gambrinus is a long-running seafood house in a former Baixa tavern, still dressed in its mid-century interior of chandeliers and weighty Portuguese chairs in wood and leather. Near the entrance, a display of lobster, spider crab, prawns and clams sets the tone for the kitchen. Actors, politicians and established Lisbon families have filled its tables for generations, while a front bar serves people who turn up unannounced.
People who live in Lisbon have a tip for Gambrinus, and it is in the Locally app.
