Al Timon

Al Timon sits on the Fondamenta degli Ormesini in Cannaregio, a bacaro with wood panelling and bare brick inside and tables along the canal outside, a few of them aboard a boat on the water. The food runs to cicchetti: baccalà mantecato, crostini topped with cheese or cured meat, and some more inventive combinations. A broad wine list backs them up, and the crowd leans local and unhurried.
