Il Buchetto

Il Buchetto is a small pizzeria in Flaminio with a long history, and its room has hardly changed over the years: walls covered in white tile, marble-topped tables, and certificates and old plates still hanging up. The pizza comes on a thin base. Bookings aren’t possible, so queueing briefly outside is simply how a meal here begins.

For dessert, order the ventaglio served with cream: it is the sweet regulars go for, even though the menu doesn’t always make it easy to spot.
