On the Ringstraße, no Kaffeehaus has been open longer than Café Schwarzenberg, and despite passing through several owners it has held on to both its standards and its grand, bourgeois air. Cakes and pastries are baked in-house rather than brought in. The Einspänner, a black coffee crowned with cream, arrives in the customary silver holder, and the windows look out over the fountains of Schwarzenbergplatz.
People who live in Vienna have a tip for Café Schwarzenberg, and it is in the Locally app.
