A family runs Schnitzelwirt, a Gasthaus on Neubaugasse, and its wood-panelled dining rooms look as though nobody has thought of redecorating them in a very long time. The kitchen fries pork Schnitzel in butter that has been clarified and sends it out in the generous, plate-covering size of the old Gasthaus school, alongside potato salad dressed with pumpkin-seed oil. Among the regulars are builders from the construction sites nearby.
People who live in Vienna have a tip for Schnitzelwirt, and it is in the Locally app.
