report a message or a person.
Hold your finger on the message you want to report and choose report, or open someone’s profile and choose report. You can choose more than one reason and add a short note. Our editorial team reviews reports within 24 hours and can hide messages or suspend the account responsible.
block someone.
Press and hold one of their messages in a chat, or open their profile, and choose block. They no longer appear in your who’s-going lists, their messages in chats you share are hidden from you, and any connection between you ends. Blocking hides them from you, not you from them: at the same event they can still see you among the people going. You can unblock them from settings, under blocked people. When you block someone, the app asks whether you also want to report them: blocking alone doesn’t notify us. From blocked people you can also report anyone you blocked.
verify your email.
After you sign up, we send a verification link to the email address you used. Open it from the same device or tap it to open the app. If you did not receive it, check your spam folder or ask us to resend it from the sign-up screen.
why only three spots?
You can hold at most three spots in any two weeks. It keeps plans real: if you’re going, you go. Give up a spot and it’s free for someone else.
when does the chat open?
The chat of an event opens five days before it starts and closes 24 hours after. Only the people going can read and write in it. Messages are deleted 30 days after the chat closes.
what is your circle?
Invite someone you already know with a personal link from your profile, or ask to connect after an event with someone who was there. If they accept, you each see which events the other is going to, and you can invite them to an event you’re going to. There’s no search for people and no private messages.
notifications.
let’s sends a few kinds of notification, and never one just to bring you back to the app:
- the chat of an event you joined has opened, five days before;
- someone has asked to connect with you;
- someone has accepted your request;
- an event you hold a spot for has been cancelled, or changed time or place;
- a connection has invited you to an event;
- a reminder the day before your event.
Two more are optional and up to you: the day’s edition at 8, and the editorial team’s special events, at most three times a month. You can switch them off any time from the app’s **settings**; permissions live in your phone’s settings.
delete your account.
Go to profile → settings → delete account → delete my account. It’s immediate. This is permanent: it removes your profile with photo and bio, your circle, your agenda, your blocks, your phone number if you left one, your questionnaire answers, and your phone’s notification token. See the privacy policy for what happens to messages and reports after deletion.
No longer have the app? Ask us to delete it.
